Carisolo

Carisolo

Small town in Val Rendena located at the foot of the Lancia peak.

The town of Carisolo has just under 1000 inhabitants.
It is located in the beautiful Adamello-Brenta Natural Park, a favorable position that guarantees an ideal climate, in fact it is located in a very sunny place sheltered from the Alpine winds.
Its altitude (about 800 meters above sea level) and the spectacular surrounding natural landscape make it the ideal destination for a magnificent holiday.

Carisolo is famous for the establishment of the famous Surgiva Mineral Water, but also for its proximity to numerous points of tourist interest.

Near the characteristic center of Carisolo opens the Val Genova, the starting point of numerous paths that venture into the Presenella mountain range as well as the Brenta Dolomites.

Alongside hiking, numerous other outdoor sports can be practiced, such as mountain biking or, for those who love relaxation, fishing in one of the many mountain lakes in the vicinity.

Between Carisolo and Pinzolo it is also possible to practice cross-country skiing (both classic and free technique), thanks to a track with programmed snow, of which an illuminated ring of about 3 km also allows you to ski at night.

In the vicinity of the center of Carisolo, where an ancient glass factory (the “Fabrica de ‘cristal”) stood up until the second half of the nineteenth century, there is now a small historical museum as well as various glass-making courses for beginners and experts.
Also in the vicinity of the glassworks stands the small church of San Martino, a monastic hermitage of medieval origin.
