Val di Fiemme

Located in the eastern part of Trentino, it is one of the main Dolomite areas of the region.

The Val di Fiemme is located in a unique position, surrounded by the Latemar mountains, the Lagorai chain and the Pale di San Martino, it is also located in the center of 2 splendid natural parks, the Monte Corno nature park and the Monte Corno nature park. Paneveggio.

In Val di Fiemme you can find splendid places, starting from the Lavazè Pass, which separates the Val di Fiemme with the Val d’Ega, where it is possible to practice Nordic skiing thanks to the presence of the “Centro del Fondo Lavazè”, and where they can go hiking with snowshoes.

Another splendid pass is Passo Oclini (at 1989 meters above sea level) which has seven kilometers of slopes and four ski lifts. Very beautiful for its strange shape, dominated in the south by the Corno Nero and in the north by the Corno Bianco.

In the Val di Fiemme we also find the Passo Manghen (Lagorai chain). Also covered by the Giro d’Italia, it is located at 2047 meters. A place of rare beauty, where you cross fir woods.

The Passo Rolle is magnificent, with truly breathtaking landscapes. It is located at the foot of the Dolomite walls of San Martino and is easily accessible from Passo Valles. A mix of fun and relaxation, with slopes, areas for the little ones, a snow park.

The Alpe di Pampeago area is also very beautiful, with the Latemar Ski Center, located at 1757 meters above sea level. Here there are about forty kilometers of slopes, as well as many trails: an ideal place for relaxation, in the midst of nature.

It is undoubtedly one of the most popular and important ski areas in Trentino: Alpe Cermis, in addition to the ski slopes, also offers “Cermislandia”, where fun for children is guaranteed. A splendid playground in the snow. Alpe Cermis also offers a splendid excursion along the “Via del Bosco”, where you can walk and meet animals, play and admire nature.

The same one that Alpe Lusia or the Paneveggio Park offers: a protected area that extends over almost two hundred square kilometers. Here there are different types of vegetation, such as stone pines, silver and red firs, beeches and larches, as well as many deer, marmots, squirrels, marmots, chamois, roe deer and badgers. In recent years, the ibex is again present.

Val di Fiemme is also known for the “Marcialonga”: seventy kilometers of cross-country skiing. Every year thousands of athletes meet to cross the whole splendid route.

A real jewel is Monte Corno, which offers a variety of vegetation, and places, truly exceptional. Particular are the so-called “Pale di San Martino“, which are the largest group of the Dolomites, for over 240 square kilometers. They consist of magnesium and calcium carbonate, materials better known as “dolomite”. The Pale plateau, located in the middle of the mountain range, reaches almost 2,800 meters. The Latemar Dolomite mountain range is magnificent: here you can make truly exceptional excursions, albeit of medium difficulty. It is possible to reach the Torre di Pisa Refuge and the Rigatti Bivouac via paths that are easily accessible. The Lagorai mountain range offers splendid trekking routes, for a good fifty kilometers.
From Panarotta to Passo Rolle, you cross mule tracks, paths and even trenches dating back to the 1st World War. On each peak of the mountain range there are books (which can be signed) and a cross. The area is very suitable for ski mountaineering, and offers first-rate descents. The most coveted is the highest peak, Cima di Cece. For cross-country skiing the ideal place is Lake Tevero, with a night track (2 km) and two other 10 km daily runs. From December to mid-March, it is a very popular destination.

Experience to do is the Trekking delle Legende: a very beautiful route, which crosses truly unique natural landscapes all over the world. 200 km of landscapes, trails and nature. Where walking really becomes a pleasure. Among the paths and walks, we also meet the splendid spruce, used to make violins and guitars.
