Predazzo, a town located in the Val di Fiemme, is one of the most renowned tourist resorts in Trentino Alto Adige.

The town is located right in the heart of a beautiful valley and is well connected to the main ski resorts in the area. Cross-country skiing can also be practiced on the mountains surrounding Predazzo, taking advantage of the Marcialonga di Fassa and Fiemme paths. The welcome reserved for tourists is complete in all the smallest details. In fact, here you can find hotels of every category, for all budgets, several characteristic restaurants where to eat, as well as numerous places where you can spend evenings in company, in the name of relaxation and fun.

Anyone who knows Predazzo and has stayed there at least once in his life, knows that this town lacks nothing and is able to offer tourists all the opportunities to spend a perfect holiday.
After all, Val di Fiemme is one of the most beautiful valleys in the entire Alps and the ski slopes found here are unrivaled.
Inside the town there is the typical atmosphere of the towns of Trentino Alto Adige. Many houses are still those of the past, structured as they were in such a way as to have large spaces intended for stables, and are indicated in dialect with the name of tabià.

The activities that can be carried out in Predazzo are numerous, from climbing to mountaineering, from horse riding, a discipline to which numerous competitions are also dedicated in the summer season, to excursions on foot or rather in the saddle of a mountain bike. Thrill-seekers can also try their hand at paragliding or hang-gliding, to experience the thrill of observing the slopes of the mountains and the splendid valleys crossed by streams, such as Travignolo and Avisio, which literally frame the valley in which Predazzo is located.

For skiing, the ski resort of reference for those staying in Predazzo is that of the Ski Center Latemar, the closest, reachable by cable car. Alternatively, you can move a few kilometers and reach the cable car that goes up to the Bellamonte – Alpe Lusia lifts. A curiosity, always linked to skiing, is the presence in Predazzo of an outdoor stadium that was built for the 1991 Nordic World Ski Championships, used precisely for the discipline of ski jumping.

Among the monuments to visit in the immediate surroundings of Predazzo there is for example the Forte Dossaccio, a typical fortification built during the First World War, one of those that were found along the entire Alpine border. Not to be missed in the city is also the Geological Museum of the Dolomites, not only for experts in the sector, as one might mistakenly think. In fact, the museum illustrates with extreme clarity the geological peculiarities of the area and is an integral part of the Tridentine Museum of Natural Sciences.

If you go to Predazzo in November you also have the opportunity to take part in a particular event which takes the name of “Fuochi di San Martino“. It is a traditional procession that runs through the streets of the center and is characterized by the bonfires that are lit during the procession, as well as the bells that are rung through the streets of the town.
