Don

Don, a splendid village in the Val di Non, located on the slopes of Mount Roen. Starting point for relaxing walks in the fir and larch woods.

Don, a town of about 250 inhabitants located on a small plateau on the western slopes of Mount Roen, from which you can enjoy an excellent view of the Brenta Dolomites, is located between the municipalities of Amblar, Romeno, Cavareno and Salter.

Its position, at just under a thousand meters above sea level, makes it an ideal destination for various types of holidays. The nearby golf course of Sarnonico (less than 5 km), an 18-hole course that, in addition to the thrill of golf, will offer you inimitable views, is one of the most popular in northern Italy. The upper Non valley is also renowned for the massive presence of tennis courts, paths in the woods and via ferratas. In winter you can take advantage of the summer trails for trekking with snowshoes, cross-country skiing and ice skating on the nearby Smeraldo lake, located less than 10 km away in the municipality of Fondo. It should be noted that a long cycle path is currently under construction which will connect several villages in the Val di Non.

To see absolutely the church of Santa Brigida and some historic houses of the village, among which undoubtedly the Endrici house, which gave birth to Celestino Endrici, who ruled the Tridentine archdiocese from 1904 to 1940. Furthermore, a path starts from Don and leads to the Sanctuary of San Romedio, a place of worship erected on a spur of rock made up of 5 churches built one on top of the other.
