Folgarida

Folgarida

Folgarida is a well-known tourist resort in the Val di Sole.

It constitutes a fraction of the municipality of Dimaro. It is located at an altitude of almost 1300 meters above sea level. in the heart of the Brenta Dolomites.
Its origin is quite recent: it dates back to 1965, the year in which the center was built with the explicit intention of making it a ski resort.
The gradual increase of the accommodation facilities and the proximity to the also newborn ski resort of Marilleva contributed to the expansion and success of the inhabited center.

Folgarida is one of the main tourist resorts in Trentino both in summer and, above all, in winter.
During the warmer months Folgarida is the ideal place to go hiking as well mountain biking and Nordic walking: the locality is full of alpine lakes with crystal clear waters and fresh mountain streams (there are over a hundred of them), so the natural spectacle is absolutely enviable. The large presence of waters in the area makes the area an exceptional place for rafting and rowing.

During the winter, however, Folgarida is the destination of many sports lovers thanks to the presence of well-equipped and modern facilities as well as pleasant accommodation facilities with direct access to the slopes. About 150 kilometers of downhill slopes that connect various lifts make it the largest ski area in the whole of Trentino.
Furthermore, thanks to the Dolomiti Express train, it is possible to reach the slopes directly from the city of Trento.

For culture lovers, Folgarida also offers a conference center with a strong activity, where you can attend shows, shows and entertainment at any time of the year.
