Christmas markets on the Piné plateau

The Pinè plateau is one of the most characteristic areas of Trentino, loved by both the local population and tourists.
In the winter season, among the snow-capped peaks and the evocative streets of the center of the small villages that dot the area, you can breathe an exceptional Christmas atmosphere thanks to the fascinating Christmas markets that give new life to the towns.

In particular, the small fraction of Miola, located within the municipality of Baselga di Piné, becomes the pulsating center of the whole area. In fact, from 7 December to 6 January it will host the famous El Paès de Presepi event, through which the town will celebrate Christmas in an absolutely unique way.

The event has existed for almost twenty years and is the result of the collaboration of all the inhabitants. Since its origins, Miola has attracted a large number of visitors, loyal tourists and onlookers to the main square of its village, set up with exceptional quality nativity scenes and the classic Christmas market.
The cribs are more than a hundred and are made entirely by hand. The setting of Miola will be made even more suggestive by the positioning of the same in particularly fascinating and characteristic areas among the historic streets of the village.

Next to the cribs there will be the typical and much appreciated food stands, through which it will be possible to taste the delicious local specialties; craftsmanship will also have its part thanks to the work of the many local artists who will sell their unique products. A particular ethnic touch to the setting will be given by Gher, the typical tent house of Mongolian shepherds, which can be visited and where you can try the typical culinary products of exotic Mongolian cuisine.

However, the event does not end here. On several days the center of Miola will host musical events and demonstrations, alpine choirs and bands as well as many shows for both the little ones and the older ones.
A unique opportunity will also be given by the possibility of taking a ride on a horse-drawn carriage along the beautiful streets of the village, ensuring yourself and your family an absolutely unique experience.
To make your stay in Miola even more pleasant, a refreshment point will be set up in Piazza San Rocco, where you can try local specialties and sip the famous mulled wine, or simply a hot tea.
