Passo Oclini

Passo Oclini is located in the beautiful and beloved Val D’Ega (Eggental – Alto Adige), on the border with the Trentino Val di Fiemme, between the twin mountains of Corno Nero and Corno Bianco, at an altitude of about 2,000 m.

Reachable by many paths that radiate through the area, however, it can only be reached by car from Trentino, from the same road that connects Passo Lavazé.
A winter tourist destination, for its ski resort and walking paths, in addition to the cross-country ski trails, it is also a very popular summer residence.

The peaks of the surrounding mountains are close at hand, the trails cover all levels of difficulty and there are trails to go with children and strollers.
The huts in the area offer the possibility of repaying the effort of the walk with good Tyrolean cuisine; different services are also available in some hotels in the area, such as hay baths, massages and Kneipp therapies.

Many mountain huts offering local products and relaxation areas. The location of Passo Oclini, between Val D’Ega and Val di Fiemme, allows you to go on excursions both in the South Tyrolean area and in the Trentino area.
Arriving at Malga Cugola (Passo Cugola), for example, you can enjoy an unexpected and breathtaking view over the entire Val di Fiemme and the majestic mountains of the Lagorai chain. The hut is open, it can be visited freely and visitors can use the places left available to eat something or even cook. To reach the hut, with snowshoes or good hiking shoes in summer, you start from the main car park of the ski resort, where you will find the signs for path no. 4 towards Malga Cugola. Just follow the signs in the trees to get to the cable car which will serve for a short distance, then continue on foot through the beautiful forest of Swiss firs. The path leads through a gully; after a slight descent, you reach the remains of an old barn near the Cugola Pass and shortly after, the Malga Cugola. To return from the walk you can follow the same path.
